Advanced Features
3" Round Gong AR500 Steel Target
Durable and Robust Build Our 3" round gong is made from premium AR500 steel, 1/2" thick, designed to last a lifetime with proper use and care. Built to withstand the demands of regular shooting practice, our targets are precision laser cut to prevent edge chipping and corner cracking. Unlike plasma-cut targets, which can weaken due to high temperatures, our laser-cut plates ensure superior quality and reliability.
Precision Laser Cutting
All our AR500 and AR550 targets are precision laser cut, offering superior edge protection and ensuring that the plates remain robust over time. This process minimizes stress and potential weak points in the metal, making our targets ideal for both gong and static mount options.
Versatile Mounting Options
Our AR500 steel targets come with 1/2" holes, allowing for both gong and static mount setups. Whether you prefer hanging your target with ruggedized chains, straps, hooks, or static brackets, our versatile mounting options cater to diverse training needs and personal preferences.
Caliber Versatility
Our guaranteed 1/2" thick AR550 steel targets are suitable for all handgun calibers, rimfire cartridges, and all centerfire rifle calibers up to .338 Lapua. Ensure you match the caliber of your firearm and target by referencing our steel selection and use guide. Adding distance reduces bullet speed and energy, so we recommend a minimum safe distance of 25 yards for handguns and 100 yards for rifles.
Color-Coded Identification
All our plates are premium powder coated in vibrant red, white, blue, and gray, allowing you to easily identify the thickness of each target. Red indicates 5/16" AR500, white 3/8" AR500, blue 1/2" AR500, and gray 1/2" AR550. This powder coating not only enhances visual identification but also allows for rapid shot location. Should the powder coating wear off, simply spray paint the plates to maintain their accuracy, using the same color as originally applied.
